Dr. Raghavan Gopakumar

Dr.RaghavanGopakumar, founder Director of Uniworld Health Solutions Pvt Ltd has more than two decades of experience in sector. Dr.Gopakumar, a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and Senior Fellow of Johns Hopkins University, USA, has been working with various national and international organisations in his career in health sector and has a complete knowledge of functioning ofvarious Ministries, foreign agencies as well as Indian grassroot organisations. He has implemented various health projects in many Indian states including Uttar Praasesh, Jharkhand, Uttrakhand and so on.

He was an integral part of various projects implemented by International agencies like USAID, DFID, EU, WHO, DANIDA, World Bank and so on. He has worked extensively in the state of Jharkhand and was a part of European Commission Technical Assistance for Health Sector Reforms which brought in many positive changes in the state. He is an expert in programme planning, implementation, monitoring andhuman resource management. He is known for his Monitoring and Evaluation skills (M&E). He is an internationally reputed researcher, presented papers on various international forums. He authored few books and several research articles published in national and international journals.

He is a recipient of various awards, scholarships and certificates of appreciation from USAID, Ford Foundation, Labour Ministry and JNU. He also has conducted and participated in various trainings for Harvard University, International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR), CIVICUS ( World Alliance for Citizens Participation, USA), NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisation (UK), National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Institute of Rural Management, Anand, VANI (Voluntary Action Network India), Charities Aid Foundation India, Futures Group International, Medica Synergie Pvt. Ltd etc.

Being a member of JHU Philanthropy Fellows and ISTR, USA., he has developed a strong network with professionals all over the world. Experience of working with national, international, bi lateral and multilateral agencies enabled to develop a strong network with officials in state and federal government as well as many national and international organisations. He has good network with Indian Medical Association and other health care provider associations and pioneered in public private partnership models in health sector.
